This sign came from a saloon in Indiana.  The Indiana General Assembly created the Indiana Alcoholic Beverage Commission in 1933.  In 2001, its name changed to the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.  In Indiana, it was not until 1969 that women were allowed to sit or stand at the Bar.  Prior to 1969, women were only allowed to sit at tables.
